Bloom

We don't have a garden. We live in a big, noisy, often depressing block of flats.

We also have a north-facing window, so we can't really grow any plants that need direct sunlight. Which unfortunately rules out most plants we were interested in growing.

But a few months ago J bought a Gloxinia tuber.

And it's started to flower!!

Yay!!

    Hi, I live in a block of flats too, did not realise you were so close, just up the road in Edinburgh!
    I think us flat dwellers have a special kind of existence which only fellow flat dwellers would understand!
    Sorry you are feeling your flat looks depressing, the flower certainly brightens things up! I find when I take photos inside my flat they always come out looking dingy and depressing, but in fact my flat is not dingy or dark at all!
