I love the internet, but ...

I love the internet, I really do. It keeps me entertained, it keeps me connected to friends back home and strangers around the world, and it has sites that make me marvel at what humans are capable of, like Nimoy Sunset Pie.

That said, I've discovered today that I can accomplish a lot more crafty stuff than normal if I stay (more or less) away from the computer.

Banana Bread
Banana Bread
It's calling to me, saying "please, enter my world of banana goodness."

I finally finished one of the gloves I started way back in September (well, actually it was a sock back then).
one glove

And, a little peak into another project I started.
Have you done a mini internet fast lately?

    WAHH! that banana bread looks super soft. I hate ripe bananas, and over-ripe bananas are perfect for banana bread... But don't you have to use heavy cream or sour cream to make it? That's always the problem I have. . . :/

    Anyway! So cool you've got one glove done! Now I'm waiting to see the other ;) Is it super cold where you are right now? It sort of stormed here the past two days and has been cold. But you know socal, it's going to get hot soon, I can feel it :P

    And ditto! I don't like being on the internet so much. I love new information etc. etc., but it's SOOO DISTRACTING. I need to get out more ;___;

  2. I always love your comments Rocky! Actually the recipe doesn't call for sour cream, I *think* that's what the melted butter in the recipe is for, maybe?

    It's about 40 here at the moment, which some might say is nothing, but I of course think that's really cold.

  3. Hi Thea~ ~Thanks for stopping by for a visit. Georgous glove you are finishing. Never did a glove but I do knit time to time. I can actually let it lay for weeks at a time which avid knitters find hard to believe. Oh well, it's just my way.
    Love your blog and I'm a follower now.

  5. I love banana bread, I make it quite often. I have a really simple, basic recipe with very few ingredients (no cream!) that is so lush.
    I get the shakes if I don't have access to the Internet. It's not pretty!

  10. Totally agree with that Internet comment although I'm taking computer classes right now and feel pulled between virtual reality and crafty reality.
