Festive Muff

I've always wanted a muff. Whenever I see one in a painting the wearer always seems happy and warm while the cold snow around her flurries. I have yet to test it out in the elements, but even if it doesn't live up to my warmth expectations at least it's pretty (and quick to knit too).

Yarn:One 50 gram ball of eyelash yarn
One 50 gram ball of super bulky yarn

Gauge: 5 stitches per 2" in 1X1 rib

Needle: 11

Pattern:
Cast on 20 stitches with both yarns held together. Join in the round. Work 10 inches in 1X1 rib. Bind off loosely.

Tahdah!

Well, if things continue as they have been, you won't need the muff when you come to LA for the holidays. It's been summerlike here - 90 degrees and smoggy. Very weird.

All you need is an i-cord to attach it to your neck so you can whip it on and off without dropping it.

  2. Hi Suzanne!
    Well, it's dang cold here.
90? that's surprising though. Smoggy, not so surprising. Poor burning LA.
Well, definitely need a muff here. I need to start wearing a hat too (already wear a scarf).

  3. This must be for a child. Ten inches is not long enough....think it needs to be 20"
